(Phoenix, AZ) – Gust Rosenfeld announced that Barbara U. Rodriguez-Pashkowski has been named Chair of the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She has been a member of that committee since 2008 and also serves as chair of Gust Rosenfeld’s Diversity Committee.

“One of the major goals of this long-standing Maricopa County Bar Association committee is to help enhance diversity in the lawyer population so that practicing lawyers who are members of the Bar are more representative of the population we serve,” Rodriguez-Pashkowski said. “We do this by putting on continuing legal education courses with topics geared toward diversity and inclusion, both to remind lawyers of the importance of having diverse opinions and to educate attorneys on diversity issues.” Rodriguez-Pashkowski explained that the committee also supports minority law students and newly admitted lawyers by providing social and professional opportunities for them to network with each other and get to know other lawyers who come from diverse backgrounds.

Rodriguez-Pashkowski also serves on the Maricopa County Bar Association Environmental & Natural Resources Law Section and the Continuing Legal Education Committee. She is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the American Bar Association’s Environment, Energy and Resources Section. Rodriguez-Pashkowski graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University and holds a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
