(Phoenix, AZ) April 4, 2019 - Gust Rosenfeld is pleased to announce that Krizia Verplancke was honored by the Latina Mentoring Project ("LMP") as the 2019 Latina Leader of Tomorrow. Krizia received the award on Saturday, March 30th during the 15th Annual LMP Spring Latina Lawyers Brunch.
The LMP is a statewide mentoring and pipeline program in Arizona which was started by the Honorable Mary Murguia of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The goal of the LMP is to provide support and foster mentoring relationships between Latinas who are undergraduates interested in law, law students, lawyers, and judges. The LMP is supported by Los Abogados, Arizona's Hispanic Bar Association, and also by the Hispanic National Bar Association ("HNBA"). The LMP has grown into the largest mentoring program of its kind in the state of Arizona. There are currently more than 200 participants in the program.
Krizia is actively involved in Los Abogados, serving on its Board of Directors, and the HNBA, acting as its Deputy Regional President for Region XIV. She also served as the President of the Chicano Latino Law Student Association while attending the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.About Gust Rosenfeld
