(Phoenix, AZ) December 19, 2016 – Gust Rosenfeld attorney Susan Goodwin is speaking at the Transportation Research Board’s (“TRB”) 96th Annual Meeting in January. The meeting covers all transportation issues, with 5,000 presentations in more than 800 sessions, addressing topics of interest to policymakers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.

Susan is presenting on the effects of the recent Supreme Court decision in Town of Gilbert v. Reed that deals with the regulation of signage within a public right of way.

TRB’s 96th Annual Meeting takes place January 8-12, 2017, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. A number of sessions and workshops will focus on the meeting’s spotlight theme, Transportation Innovation: Leading the Way in an Era of Rapid Change. The meeting is expected to attract more than 12,500 transportation professionals from around the world.

TRB is one of seven program units of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, which provides independent, objective analysis and advice to the nation and conducts other activities to solve complex problems and inform public policy decisions TRB’s varied activities annually engage more than 7,000 engineers, scientists, and other transportation researchers and practitioners from the public and private sectors and academia, all of whom contribute their expertise in the public interest by participating on TRB committees, panels, and task forces.
