(Phoenix, AZ) August 8, 2019 – Gust Rosenfeld is pleased to announce that Charles (Chas) W. Wirken has been named as the Maricopa County Bar Association Robert R. Mills Member of the Year. The award will be presented to Chas at the MCBA’s annual Hall of Fame Dinner on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

The Robert R. Mills Member of the Year award recognizes a MCBA member who significantly contributes to the programs and activities of the MCBA, dedicates himself or herself to furthering the goals of the legal profession and promoting the ideal of professionalism, and shows an outstanding commitment to public service, including charitable, cultural, humanitarian and educational service to the community at large.

Chas has been a longtime-involved member of the MCBA. He has served in a variety of leadership roles, including president, chairing various committees, and serving as the MCBA representative in the American Bar Association House of Delegates. Chas is a MCBA Hall of Fame inductee, has served as the Hall of Fame selection committee chair for several years, and is actively involved in the CLE presentations of the MCBA.

Chas’s extensive appellate experience coupled with his expertise has earned the respect of his peers and appellate judges, as indicated by his election as a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® in the Appellate Law category, and listing in the Appellate practice category of Southwest Super Lawyers®. Chas was named one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona in 2018 and a Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year in 2016 and 2018.
